Jazz is arguably one of Pittsburgh’s greatest, albeit lesser-known, exports. In its heyday (1930s - 1950s) the Hill District neighborhood of Pittsburgh was one of the most influential and prolific jazz scenes in the country, deservedly donning the nickname “Little Harlem.” This mix aims to showcase the impressive roster of Jazz greats who got their start in the Steel City.
