A Full Rotation / b/w The Body Cries (7", Single) 1981 A Still Reflex / b/w Fade Out (7", Single) 1981 A Will To Win (3-track 12") b/w Love What You and Chance 1982
Their two 7 inches were released on Les Disques Du Crépuscule. The 12 inch was released on Red Flame.
One other song "Stranger" featured on the From Brussels With Love (Album, Comp) (2 versions available - slightly different track listings). Again first released on Les Disques Du Crépuscule in 1980.
Band members: Sarah Gregory (vocals), Tim Transe (drums & words), ASDH (synth), Nicolas (bass), Pete Petrol of Spizzenerg (guitar).
Apparently dubbed "Belgian post-punk", Repetition were a five-piece Anglo-Belgian band with moody songs backed by guitars + synth (the guitar sound was very similar to the Comsat Angels)). Vocals on the songs featuring Sarah Osborne (see Allez Allez) have been likened to Siouxsie Sioux, but are probably closer to Lesley Woods of the Au Pairs. Possibly, because their music was released on Les Disques Du Crépuscule, the Belgian tag was gained. Also this sound was very popular on the Continent at the time.
Their final release featured male singer Steve Musham and dropped in 1981. Sarah Osborne, vocalist for the first two releases, married Heaven 17's singer Glenn Gregory after Martyn Ware (of the same band) produced her follow-up band, Allez Allez on the album Promises - where her vocal technique became much funkier.
