Jap Kasai (also Kasai) is the project of Daisuke Iijima. Born in Kyoto, he has been making music since 2015. He runs the cassette label hoge tapes. His music combines the bouncing beats and complex rhythms of footwork with the soulful melodies of traditional Japanese minyo.
