Priscilla Paris

Priscilla Paris

Priscilla Paris has been played on NTS shows including The Early Bird Show w/ Jack Rollo, with Stone Is Very, Very Cold first played on 3 December 2021.

Priscilla Paris (January 4, 1941- March 5, 2004) was an American singer.

Priscilla first achieved success with The Paris Sisters, in which she sang lead vocals backed by her two older sisters Albeth and Sherrell. The group is best remembered for the 1961 international hit 'I Love How You Love Me' produced by Phil Spector.

Priscilla released three solo LPs between 1967 and 1978; a Billie Holiday tribute titled 'Priscilla Loves Billie' and two albums of entirely self-penned material; 'Priscilla Sings Herself' and 'Love Is …'. Although the records achieved relatively little commercial success, they are now sought after by collectors.

In 1978 Priscilla Paris suffered facial paralysis as the result of an accident. After a period of serious depression she settled in Paris, France where she owned a restaurant and operated a business which specialised in teaching French hotel workers how to interact with English-speaking tourists. She also occasionally sang in small Parisian clubs.

Priscilla died as the result of a fall in her home on Friday, March 5, 2004. She was 59 years old and is survived by two sons.
