Infamous Beirut DJ Ernesto Chahoud takes over the NTS signal for his monthly 'Beirut Daze' slot, recorded in Lebanon and showcasing music from his far-ranging collection.

Chicago
19:00 - 21:00

Who else sounds like Larry Heard? In the late 1980s, The Chicago house producer was one of the first artists – initially as a part of Fingers, Inc., and then as a solo act – to truly stamp their own unique aesthetic onto the nascent style of electronic dance music. Favouring lush instrumentation, foggy chords and dreamy melodies over the more mechanic pounding of many of his counterparts, he inspired the "deeper" sounds of the midwest's second wave, and generations of young clubbers elsewhere around the world. This In Focus features close to 3 hours of untouchable deep house beauty from Larry Heard - compiled, mixed and edited by Giles Smith.

Pedago Party

Pedago Party

Pedago Party was first played on NTS on 25 March 2022. Songs played include Vita.

Post-Punk/Anarcho Punk Rock band from Piacenza (Emilia Romagna, Italy).

They start to play in 1983, first concert in june 1983. Members during the time: Desy Palladini (vocalist), Valter Pavana Bonetti (guitarist), Massimo Sabasco, Joe Granelli, Gil Fire Fuochi, Roby Mosfet Terzoni, Charlie Danzi, Rikkardo Bonvini, Luca Pozzoli, Nicola Terenziani e Alberta Ferraroni. The sound of the group comes from the british punk/post-punk/darkwave movement. The music of the band becomes often obscure and can be targed like gothic rock (clear the influence of bands such The Cure and Siouxsie and The Banshees). In other songs the music looks like punk hardcore. A totally underground career, developed with a really intensive live activity in an anarcho punk circuit. 2 of the 3 albums were self-produced, only the last was realized by a label: the self-titled 'Pedago Party' (1991), that signs the last official stand of the band.

Discography :

1983 - L'ARTE DELLA RIVOLUZIONE (Mc - self-produced) 1984 - 4 PER A = A PER TUTTI (compilation - ATTACK PUNK REC.) 1984 - AFTERGLOW (compilation - Komakino Fanzine) 1985 - PERFIDO INGANNO (compilation) 1987 - IN-SORGERE (Mc - self-produced) 1988 - LA NAVE DEI FOLLI (compilation - AMEN-THX 1138) 1991 - COMPILAZIONE DI CONCERTI AL C.S.A.
