1) Terrain is an all original contemporary Jazz group based out of Calgary, Alberta. Their music is an exciting blend of jazz, funk, latin and pop sounds. In early 2000, Terrain released their self-titled debut CD. The foolow-up CD Time To Travel, was released March 2002. The band has toured jazz festivals throughout Western Canada and has performed/opened for such artists as, Ingrid Jensen, Jack Semple, Frank Mantooth and Chris Potter. Terrain/Terrain consists of 11 original compositions, Time To Travel consists of 13 original compositions, both produced by Hornby/Buschmeyer. The founding members and sole songwriters are Ralf Buschmeyer and Tyler Hornby. "…(Terrain's)debut disc has an edge to it that keeps everything alive and groovin'. A truly outstanding debut from a young group that's just tapping into it's potential." -James Muretich, ' The Calgary Herald' ".. The playing is cutting edge and the band covers a full range of instrumental music. Always the energy stays up, the pace varied." -T Bruce Wittet,'MuzicEct/Drums Etc Sep-Oct 2001'

Terrain is: Ralf Buschmeyer(guitar)/Tyler Hornby(drums)/Kristian Alexandrov(keys-B3)/Dr. Jeremy Coates(bass) Performing/recording credits: Ingrid Jensen/Steve Slagle/Frank Mantooth/Tommy Banks/Hugh Fraser/ P.J.Perry/Jann Arden/Amy Sky/Dr Ron McCurdy/Guido Basso/Bobby Sanabria

2) Terrain, a new collaborative project from two London-based artists. With an appropriately immersive, subliminal approach to contemporary techno, they present a sound split between low BPM, creeping intensity and dynamic broken techno. Steely, dub-kissed textures and impulses shape out the space, while the drums fall in crisp, precisely interlocking formations.
