Raj Chaudhuri - aka Raji Rags. NTS since day one. Always eclectic, never boring. Raj rustles up a seamless monthly mix that journeys through the BPMs.
Considered a reaction to the more lively bebop styles of jazz, the postwar era saw a rise in subdued styles, often referencing classical music. NTS selects two hours of cool jazz from Miles Davis, Chet Baker and more.

There are at least two bands called Medium Cool:
1) 1991 album "Imagination" with vocalists Adele Bertei, Alex Chilton, Angel Torsen, and James White, backed by RobertArron (Piano/Tenor Sax), Ron Miller (bass), Richard Dworkin (drums), A.J. Mantas (Vibes & Piano), and James White (alto sax), playing jazz tunes associated with Chet Baker.
2) Medium Cool is doing well all over New York City with new bass player and old friend Jonah Green, who played with Marc and Mark in their first ever grade school band circa 1995, and Tim McCoy, who you might know from his drum sticking in the band Isles as well former band The Natural History.
Mark Sanger (guitar, vocals)
Marc Philippe Eskenazi (guitar, vocals)
Jonah Green (bass guitars, vocals)
Casey Smith (lead keys, guitar, vocals)
Tim McCoy (The Tom Toms, The Snare, you name it…)
