Sunset

Sunset

Sunset has been played on NTS shows including Crypt of the Wizard, with Wander Does The Taciturn Spellsword first played on 11 July 2024.

There are at least 5 different bands performing under the name Sunset.

Sunset, previously known as {{{SUNSET}}}, is the recording project and band of Bill Baird. Based in Austin, TX, Baird has been performing and recording under the name Sunset and other variations of that name since 2006, with an equally shifting cast of bandmates. Currently the live band is Bill Baird (guitar, keys, voice), Jon Kolar (drums), Willis McClung (bass), Will Patterson (keys), and Sam Sanford (guitar).

Sunset was formed in mid March of 2007 by Andres-Manuel Pichardo (guitar), Jose Alejandro Mejia (bass guitar), and Alex Loseman (vocals) who immediately acquired the members Manuel Rodriguez (drums), Jorge Strofer (guitar), and Luis Ortiz (keyboards). The band has since recorded a demo for the song Dream Machine, their first written song. Plans to rerecord songs prewritten and recorded by Jorge Strofer (last.fm/music/Jorge+Strofer) have been made.

The band is influenced by alternative and indie artists, the majority those of unique and inspiring characteristics. Some of these include Radiohead, Voxtrot, Sigur Ros, Joy Division, New Order, The Postal Service, and Bloc Party. The band has so far considered its own sound to be indie or post punk.

Sunset is a Hungarian [gene]alternative | metal band.
