Big Jay the Drummer Boi, was born on July 21, 1989 in Atlanta, Ga. At the age of 2, he started playing the drums. At 4yrs, he was playing publicly. By age 9, he was playing behind professional jazz musicians by the names of Vince Bloomfield, and Beverly Barkley. Timmy Thomas was to thank for that. In middle school he started playing in the Clarkston High School Marching Band’s low brass section, but at the same time he was still playing the drums for various Baptist churches. In 9th grade, he got the name "Drummer Boi” playing on the Redan High School’s Sudden Impact Drumline. By the time he was a junior at Pebblebrook High School, he already had a name buzzing through the band world, all the way from Miami, FL back up to Brooklyn, Ny. In his senior year of high school, he started playing with the Clark Atlanta Marching Band. In March of 2008 he recorded his first songs in titled “Finna Get This Money” and “Do It To the Max”. That same month, he performed at his first ever open mic. (2hot4radio). And here I am now, I’m a music mogul. And I’m still grinding…….
