Alexis Georgopoulos is an electronic musician, composer and sound artist based iin New York. He has released nearly 10 albums under that name and as a collaborator on labels such as RVNG Intl, Smalltown Supersound, Mexican Summer, Type, Beats In Space, Emotional Response, Opal Tapes and others.

Over the course of numerous albums under the name Arp , and in various collaborative contexts — original albums, collaborative installation and commissioned scores — his work has been typified by a nomadic approach, of continually pursuing new modes and concepts, occupying diverse mindsets, and challenging notions of identity, authenticity, and style.

He has collaborated with key figures from a range of disciplines — visual artists Tauba Auerbach and Darren Bader, the late filmmaker Paul Clipson, choreographer Jonah Bokaer as well as musicians Neneh Cherry, techno producer Patricia and ambient producer Jefre Cantu-Ledesma. He has performed internationally and has been presented in gallery and museum contexts by MoMA PS1, Goethe–Institut, Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), Deitch Projects, Walker Art Center, The Kitchen, MoMA, New Museum, White Columns, 303 Gallery, Jacob's Pillow, SFMoMA, Luggage Store Gallery, and Jack Hanley Gallery.

Georgopoulos is also a published writer on art, music and design. Interview subjects have included the late harpist Alice Coltrane, Factory designer Peter Saville, Afrofuturist writer Kodwo Eshun, synth pioneer Suzanne Ciani, and the UK group Broadcast, among others. His writings have been published internationally in i–D, Sleazenation, V, ANP Quarterly, BOMB, Paper, Tokion, Vice and The Guardian (SF).
