Tulalah

Tulalah

Tulalah has been played on NTS shows including Midnight Marauders w/ Marshmello, with Distortrait first played on 23 May 2015.

Tulalah are a nine-piece outfit hailing from Melbourne. Incorporating elements of jazz, folk, rock & cinematic influence, they strive to create a sound that is far beyond the expanse of their instrumentation.

After self-releasing their debut EP "The Mule" in June of 2013, Tulalah focused on writing & recording their debut album "The Flood", which will be released through Melbourne independent label, Equinox Recordings on October 17 at the Shadow Electric in Melbourne. The debut single featuring "Selma" + "And Yet It Moves" was released in February at the Workers Club to great acclaim.

This recording is the result of two weeks spent in a beach house on Melbourne's Mornington Peninsula recording the bones of the album. From there, several churches & halls in Melbourne's inner north were used to track vocal, string & horn sections. The album is set to be an etherial yet energetic sonic wonderland.

Tulalah will be launching their debut album, "The Flood" on the 17th of October at the Shadow Electric. The album will be available digitally on the 16th of October and as a 2xLP on the 17th of October.
