Blackest Ever Black doing what they do best – connecting the dots between early industrial, doom, drone and the contemporary dance scene, pounding out the dreary sound of 21st century malaise.

The Mane Thing was born out of the love of beer, beards and music. Their music production draws influence from across a wide spectrum of club music including UK Funky, Baltimore Club, House, Disco, Tech House and all forms of bass music. All these influences combine to create a unique sound we can only describe as ‘forward thinking club music’.
Spenda C and Jax have successfully created a sound that has proven popular with some of the most influential DJs and producers in the world. Their bootleg of His Majesty Andre’s “Peep Thong” was picked up by none other than Herve aka the Count after it was posted on Jax’s now defunct music blog Deckheads. Herve then went onto include it on his Ghetto Bass 2 mix CD, which subsequently lead to an official release. Much to the boys’ surprise, the remix climbed to number one on the Indie Dance / Nu Disco chart! The track also got major mixtape love from Will Bailey and Jack Beats.
Having realized the potential in their sound The Mane Thing began work on original material. They soon hooked up with Sharkslayers Top Billin record label and are soon to release a debut EP of original material titled ‘Get Paid’. The EP’s title track has been featured on ‘World Gone Club’ compilation (out through Top Billin) and was included in renowned taste maker Neoteric’s top ten tracks for December 2010. The ‘Get Paid’ EP will get a full release in January 2011.
With such a solid start and high profile industry hype in 2010, The Mane Thing are definitely ones to watch in 2011.
