3afak: Love to NYC

3afak: Love to NYC, is a homage to our friends, our music community, and the music we love. We came to New York looking for music and we found each other. This album is our way to give back to the community that has supported 3afak. All the artists on this compilation have been involved with 3afak over the course of the past year and a half—we’ve danced to their music, we’ve seen them DJ, and we’ve celebrated with them. The compilation includes everything from club music to experimental music. What glues the music together is that the variety of genres is a microcosm of how small and connected the underground music community really is in New York and how we tend to support each other across genres. We will be donating 50% of the proceeds to the Okra Projects, an organization that supports Black Trans people through providing them with home-cooked meals.
