Toxic Ranch w/ Slothrop
My musical world changed when I moved from the small town I grew up in to the big “city” of Tucson, Arizona. Tucson in the early 1990s had a vibrant local music scene with a healthy home recording community pumping out an eclectic mix of lo-fi music and a culture of house shows where local and sometimes touring bands would play on the way to the west coast. Ever present was the one local indie music store, Toxic Ranch, where nerdy teens like me would go to find new music, buy fanzines, fand ind out where the next house show was. This mix is a time capsule for that time of my life and consists of a mix of local Tucson bands, bands that I vividly remember going to see at house shows (or the local all ages venue), and the songs from that time that made up the soundtrack of my teen life.
