Alastair Galbraith (1965-) is a musician and sound artist from Aotearoa. A towering figure of the vaunted Kiwi post-Flying Nun underground, his solitary shadow has cut across 40 years of homespun recordings, either alone, or in collaboration with other luminaries such as Bruce Russell, Graeme and Peter Jefferies and Richard Youngs. In celebration of his latest release, Lagash (Nice Music), Great Southern Lands reflects on his singular vision and enduring legacy.
