Mo(u)rning Song(s) For My Father
My father passed away rather suddenly in August 2021, especially since I just saw him in June for his 82nd birthday, a weekend that I’ll remember fondly. Between driving across Ohio and supporting my mother in the planning of my dad’s funeral, I made a playlist that provided the comfort that I needed. This is a smaller, yet refined version, journeying through crying vocals (grief), strings (progression), and lush dreamscapes (peace), and an epilogue of one of his favorites. Love you, Dad! <3
