In Focus: Donna Regina
Formed in Cologne by husband-and-wife Regina and Günther Janssen in the early 1990s, Donna Regina materialised during a period when German electronic music was increasingly associated with clubs, technological innovation and experimentation. While their contemporaries often chased the future, Donna Regina occupied a different space entirely, finding their identity creating music that feels suspended somewhere between dream-pop, chanson, downtempo and electronic minimalism.
