In Focus: Joseph Beuys

Düsseldorf, 06.08.21

Focus on Joseph Beuys

Joseph Beuys was a German artist and theorist best known for popularising the Fluxus movement during the '60s and '70s, which prioritised interrogating the artistic process more than the finished product. Known for his ritualistic performance pieces, Beuys' first solo exhibition saw him daubed in honey and gold leaf as he spoke to a dead hare on his arm in How to Explain Pictures to a Dead Hare.

This In Focus explores the audio output of the Fluxus founder, compiled and mixed by DJ Vio.
