The brave pioneer of the "neo-soul" sound, Russell Elevado's penchant for vintage equipment and analog warmth came to define an era of popular R'n'B music. A soul born out of time, he first came to critical prominence with D'Angelo's critically acclaimed 2000 release Voodoo, and went on to collaborate, produce and engineer for a staggering breadth of artists covering everyone from Animal Collective to J Dilla and Kamasi Washington.
