"Ghost Riders In The Desert Sky"
This show is a thematic companion soundtrack to a zine I put together earlier this year, titled Ghost Town Atlas, marking a symbolic fascination with Ghost Towns that mirror my long-standing obsessions with the American West and all the stories (both real and mythical) that bring the geography to life. Building Mount Analog here in California has always been my little frontier adventure, aligning with all things larger than life, alchemical, self-made and self-taught, and in the spirit of discovery and "newness". Nostalgia is progress's worst enemy, but transformation and "making old things new" is a sublime practice that I try to live every day. There's a wonderful saying that is somewhat like cowboy desert code in the West: "Keep searching, but do not trespass".
