In anticipation of the release of Pico Sound System Culture from the Colombian Caribbean on Strut Records, this episode takes a closer look at three artists featured on this compilation. Tracing the journey of their music from South Africa, Congo, and São Tomé into the heart of Colombia’s Caribbean picó culture and the sound of champeta.
