SHAPE+: Healbient music by Polje w/ Liky Pid Nohamy

SHAPE+, previously known as SHAPE, is a European platform for innovative music and art. It is artist-oriented, and, every year, it creates a selection of exceptional emerging talent via open call and curatorial voting, to then foster their careers with performance invitations, collaborative residencies, commissions, seminars and networking events. SHAPE+ consists of 18 non-profit venues and festivals, including Unsound, CTM, Construction and Intonal, and is co-funded by the European Union, and, as of middle of 2024, also Pro Helvetia. From the host: "The best name for this mix would probably be “Healbient music by Polje w/ Liky Pid Nohamy” as it mostly consists of the music that has been released on Liky Pid Nohamy, the label I founded in 2022. The label’s name can be translated from Ukrainian as “the cure beneath our feet” and refers to a book of the same name about herbal medicine by Yurii Lypa. The mix represents a certain style of electronic music that I define as “healbient” which is, obviously, the opposite of “illbient”. I wish music could heal physical injuries or mental illnesses, but unfortunately it can’t. However, it definitely may help in some way to get through the bad stuff in one’s life.
