Many of these bands existed at the intersection of Space Rock, Shoegaze & Post Rock. Releasing on labels such as Kranky, Burnt Hair & Darla these bands carved out a unique but small scene in Michigan and Illinois in the mid - late 90's. Today many of these bands still aren't well known, enjoy a 2 hour selection of their recordings.
