Ndikho Xaba & The Natives has been played on NTS over 30 times, featured on 31 episodes and was first played on 13 February 2015.

After college Plunky Nkabinde migrated to San Francisco and Ken Shabala followed. In 1969 they met Lon Moshe, a vibraphonist from Chicago and joined an African avant-garde group called Ndikho and the Natives, led by South African pianist/percussionist, Ndikho Xaba.

The group recorded one LP: "Ndikho Xaba And The Natives".
