Bint Al-Shalabiya is an interdisciplinary artist, experimental musician, cultural activist and dervish witch interested in the juxtaposition of the sacred and profane. Her work explores the various intersections of identity, religion, gender, sexuality, magic, orientalism and other-ness through contemporary performance and visual art. Today, we talk about how she brings her heritage and occult practices to music.
