Miami-Cuban Ex-Pat Funk, Rock, & Soul w/ DJ Blacksmith
The 60s and 70s in Miami saw an influx of Cuban ex-pats learning to adapt their language, lifestyle, and music to their new home - covering American songs with thick accents, rockifying Latin standards, and creating new branches of funk all their own. I grew up in Miami and inherited many of these records from my Abuelo, Enrique Herrera, who is also featured.
