Urban Shakedown has been played on NTS over 10 times, featured on 16 episodes and was first played on 9 June 2017.

There were two artists recording under the name Urban Shakedown. Chronologically, they are:

1) A short-lived post-punk dub duo that came out of Basement 5. The duo were Dennis Morris (bass and vocals) and "T" a.k.a. Anthony Thompson (drums, vocals). The band recorded one 7" single called "Big Bad Wolf" on Paul Weller's Respond label in 1982.

2) The joint venture of Gavin King, Mickey Finn and Claudio Giussani. The trio were responsible for rave classics 'Some Justice' and 'Bass shake'. There are other tracks in the shakedown catalogue including 'Bass Speaker', 'Ruff Justice', 'Do it Now!', 'Assasinator', 'Analogue' and more. Mickey and Gavin went on to form Urban Takeover, Claudio is now producing a more trance sound as Terra Ferma.
