Focus on Waflash
As promised, this month’s show returns with a feature on a most excellent Senegalese mbalax band — Waflash — complementary to last month’s show and only going deeper, now featuring three more of their studio albums in large portions: Goorgui (2002), Bella Casa (2003) and Yow Nit (2005), with the last two tracks marking a distinct aesthetic exploration from their signature mbalax sound.
