Lujiachi is a producer from Taipei. As a member of the bands Scattered Purgatory, Sleaze, and LUDU he alternately explores meditative drone, sludgy guitar theatrics, and precision-engineered sound design. For his solo productions and DJ sets he combines these elements with a focus on the club, building a narrative out of clattering percussion and dissonant samples. He also re-edits and DJs Taiwanese language dance and pop songs, tying his work to grassroots Taiwanese culture in both its traditions and high-tech present.
