LABOUR w/ Fatou Kine Mbaye
This month’s show features the famed griot singer from Senegal, Fatou Kine Mbaye. Mother of the famous mbalax singer Coumba Gawlo, this show opens with a duo track of the two singing together, followed by most of Fatou’s "Touba Belel release from 1991 with daughter Coumba in the backing chorus, followed by most of Coumba’s "Crazy Mbalax" release from 2001 with mother Fatou in the backing chorus before closing with Coumba’s track Deweneti. Loving the sabar arrangement on Bine Bine Dagou.
